Wildwood Resort and Marina seems to think that they are above the law. They are not an equal opportunity employer as they do not currently have any employees of another race other than Caucasian (other than the general managers son, naturally) the only elderly employee they did have they never gave an opportunity of training so they fired her. They furlough employees with no intention of rehiring when the season picks back up. The owners believe and have been allowed to break city, labor, and OSHA laws. They reprimand employees who actually do their job and treat one particular employee very unfairly. The general manager has self diagnosed an employee as having autism/Asperger’s disease, which is so against the law. The was one employee that was diagnosed with Autism but was not given proper training to do the job and was; therefore, fired. Their employees are not given breaks as required by labor laws, and employees are expected to work without pay so not to pay overtime.
