When the reel arrives, it comes in a nice box and a nice cloth bag for storage. Inside the box was a schematic and parts list. This is very good as parts wear out and often need replacement, and the schematic was small but readable. The reel was larger and heavier than I expected but very sturdy. The line spool is a solid and nice gold color. I enjoyed the reel so much that I had to give them a shot for inshore fishing.
They are definitely worth their price! I like the 60s better because of the push bar for casting and their regular handle but this one still has very sturdy construction and excellent drag. I have no problem casting either as long as I set the tension right to the bait/weight that I'm using.
My final conclusion is that the KastKing Rover 60 at $52 compares very favorable to the Abu 6500 C4 at $135 and is a real bargain. Don't waste your money on the Abu 6500-S at $60 as it's a turkey. I am very happy with it.

I really like that it doesn’t make so much noise, and it has a comfortable cranking, and it prevents it from reversing. This reel SHA40 could hold a lot of fishing lines. Its metallic body with bluish color makes it look appealing. The 4-inch handle is long enough to make it easy to reel in a big fish. Tested the drag at about 10 lb and caught some rockfish. Very easy to service with just a screwdriver. It has a 4:1 ratio and a very smooth action at that.
The frame is almost made of resin and contains a metal plate inside the gear housing, where the gear and ratchet mechanism bearings are installed. There are several areas I was worried about, and each was renovated. Nonetheless, it is my evaluation that this product is “goods at a price.” You should definitely consider this!

This has to be the best purchase I’ve made in a while. I particularly love casting and reeling with it, and I wish they had level wind, but oh well, I’ll get adjusted to it quickly. Now I just need to break that new reel curse and catch something on it. This reel is a very smooth reeling, love the two speeds of it, and how well it fits on my rod. I did use the back mounting plate from my Penn Rival instead of the included one, only because the one from the Rival has a hook holder built into it. This is one of the best on the market, and you do get what you pay for. It does what it says on the box and good services and delivery. I don't find anything wrong with this reel. I put some 12-pound test line on it and have used it for trolling, drifting, and bottom fishing. The line counter works well and seems to be accurate. It is nice to know how many lines you have out when you are trolling or bottom fishing. I've had no problems with the reel, and it seems very well made. It is not for casting, though, and I knew that up front. The reel is on a downrigger trolling rod and is a very good match for the heavier salmon and trout that it was intended for. While I have only been using it for a month, I have had no problems, and it has performed as such a reel should.
The depth counter is also especially handy for getting to the right depths, which is a must when fishing for the big Rockfish in the Chesapeake. With 300 yards of #40 braid (they'll hold a thousand), there isn't much they can't handle.
Overall these are great performing reels that have everything you need and nothing you don't. Could the line counter be better? Yes. But they still do the job. The drag works well, and overall the reels seem durable and smooth performing. I see no need for a recreational fisher to shell out more money for higher priced reels.
