About Upper Enchantment La
Lake Lugano, which winds its way through the mountains of Piedmont in northern Italy, offers the best in agriculture. Horse riding is as popular as tennis, football and golf, and young and old can enjoy the view from the peaks by cable car.
Winter on Lake Lugano is also popular, and during the winter season the climate remains quite mild and pleasant. In the cold months there are snow-capped mountain peaks and a ski resort. In the heart of Piedmont, just a few kilometres from the city centre, it is situated on the edge of the Alps and is one of the most popular ski resorts in Italy.
Other attractions include a casino where you can watch popular movies in summer and enjoy unforgettable local drinks, food and entertainment. For more relaxed leisure activities, ferry and boat trips around the lake are a great opportunity to enjoy the amazingly clear and colorful landscape undisturbed. Lake Lugano attracts visitors from all over the world and remains a truly peaceful and relaxing getaway.
After more than 260 years, the lake has been named Ceresio, a word derived from the Latin term "cherry." The lake is called "Ceresio" because there were so many cherry trees that once grew around the lake.
In 1752, the Treaty of Varese established the present-day - Italian - Swiss border that separates the lake. The Melide Dam was built between the towns on the opposite sides of Lake Lugano. This dam separated the Swiss and the Italian northern basin, with the southern basin being the Swiss basin. The length of stay varies, with the average length of stay in the southern basin being in the northern basin.
A glittering glacial lake, Lake Lugano is bordered by the Alps, the Adriatic and the Atlantic, as well as the Mediterranean. In a Mediterranean climate it can be extremely mild, with temperatures between 5 and 6 degrees Celsius.
The average depth is 134 meters, but the deepest point is 288 meters and the average width of the lake is about 1 km. The lake has a population of about 2.5 million people, two thirds of whom come from the Swiss Ticino. Its maximum width is 3 km and its average length 1.2 km, with an average height of 6.7 meters.
The area is very accessible and touristy - friendly, with ferries running the entire length, and the Gotthard Railway crosses the Melide reservoir, as does the A2. The dam, built on a naturally occurring glacial moraine, connects the west bank of Lugano with the eastern bank of Chiasso. On both sides surrounded by attractions that surround the Lago de Lugano (in Italian "Lago de'Lugano").
Two of the most popular attractions of the region are the Museum of Lake Lugano (in the Italian "Museo della Musea di l'Osservatore"), a charming exhibition that will surely fascinate all ages, and Piazza delle Grazie, the largest museum in Italy.
South of the lake is Monte San Giorgio, a World Heritage Site known for its spectacular views of Lake Lugano. On the Italian side there is the largest collection of fossils from the region, as well as a large number of ancient monuments on the lake. On the Swiss coast there is a small museum, the Museum of the Sea of l'Osservatore and a Museum of Natural History and Art.
Lake Maggiore is located on the western shore of Lake Lugano, while Lake Como is located to the east and the three lakes together form the Italian Lake District. The lake is surrounded by the lake on both sides to the west, south, east and east, but it is the smallest of the two, at a depth of about 1,500 metres.
In 1752, the indigo-blue waters of Lake Lugano were legally divided between Italy and Switzerland, and in 1753 between Switzerland and the Republic of Italy.
More than two dozen villages and towns surround the lake, and travelers will find a sophisticated culture, including a well-maintained promenade and a more traditional market selling the wares of local artisans. A mixture of traditional and modern architecture and modern amenities pervade the seaside city of Lugano and its surroundings, including hotels, restaurants, shops and restaurants.
Fishing is allowed in most areas, except protected areas, and some species are protected, including the bleak white clawed crab. There are no imported species, and there are no native species in the area; the species that are most in stock are embedded - in cockroaches.
In the area around Lake Lugano there are a number of self-catering apartments that blend well into the local architecture. Local restaurants offer a variety of regional dishes, including often fresh fish from Lake Eugano. Northern Italian and Swiss cuisine is served, and the city of Lugano is located in the northern part of the region, so its inhabitants speak Italian.
There are many possibilities and styles to choose from, from terraced houses to villas, and there are even a number of restored villas - still houses in the area, like this one by the lake.
Building the land is also a great option for those who want to build their holiday homes in this hidden paradise.
