About Pocono Peak Lake
The majestic Pocono Mountains form the backdrop of the homonymous lake, Lake Pocano and the artificial "Lake Pocono" "is located on the eastern shore of Lake Erie, Pennsylvania, USA. Built in 1867 for logging, it is today the largest freshwater lake in the USA with an area of 2.2 million square kilometres. Poconos Lake Preserve was founded in 1907 to create a vacation and religious retreat.
