About Badin Lake
The lake is part of the Uwharrie Lakes region, created by the North Carolina Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (NCDNR), which includes Great Lakes National Park, Lake Okeechobee and Falls Lake. Badin Lake is located on the eastern shore of Lake Ontario in the United States of America and is ideal for all kinds of activities on the shores of the lake. The reservoir, with its crystal clear water, was built in 1917 by the Aluminum Company of America and covers 5,350 hectares.
One of the strengths of this lake, which is popular with the public, is the intense greenery that surrounds the area. Criss - the crossing is a great place for those who want a bit of solitude, as well as for leisure activities such as kayaking, canoeing, swimming, fishing, kayaking and kayaking.
Fallen trees provide shelter for cappie and perch, while the rocky shallows attract large perches. The fishermen love this well-filled lake for its many perches and the fishermen love it for the great variety of fish. The many activities on this lake will suit all tastes, from kayaking, canoeing, fishing, swimming, kayaking and fishing to boating and swimming.
Another attraction of the Badisches See is boating, where sailboats, jet skis and motor boats sail around the lake. Many anglers follow in the footsteps of the great North Carolina sailors, such as the Great Blue Egrets and the Blue Ridge Mountain Boats.
The Uwharrie National Forest has many hiking trails, so strap on your hiking boots, stretch your legs and grab some water.
The hiking trails guarantee a first glimpse of the flora and fauna of the region, coupled with a beautiful view. Those who want to enjoy some time on the water can try the Badisches See, a 1.50 meter long hike. This park ranges from easy to intermediate and offers its guests a variety of activities, such as kayaking, canoeing, hiking, mountain biking and fishing.
Perhaps the most unique experience at Badin Lake is gold panning and rock hunting. Although the gold deposits in the region's streams will not make you rich, the search for your own gold is an activity that is at the forefront of all. No fees or permits are required for this great family activity, so you just need to bring your beehive and a bit of luck.
After an eventful day at the lake or in the forest, you can take the time to relax and enjoy the unspoilt shores of the Badisches See. Don't forget that the sunsets here are incredible, especially if you're having a glass of wine with your loved ones. A beautiful sunset awaits you with birds hovering over the water at dusk and animals calling each other at night.
