Tucked away in a corner of northern Illinois, Lake Galena presents itself as one of the most unique man-made lakes in the United States. The resulting 225-hectare lake, also known as the Galena Reservoir, was created by a developer's dam to build an exclusive residential complex. In a vision not often seen in residential areas, it was designed with forests and fields around it. This coast is primarily intended as a green area owned by the Territory of Galena Association, which is available to all inhabitants.

Nature trails and riding stables invite you to go out and enjoy the forests, wild flowers and the local wildlife, as well as hunting for wild flowers and wildlife.

Lake Galena offers some of the best fishing in the area, and fishing is the most popular activity in the Galena area. The water is a great source for trout, perch, catfish and other small fish, as well as some small mouthfuls.

The association works with the state authorities to ensure optimum water quality and to ensure that fish is regularly delivered.

Fish cleaning stations are available in the fish and wildlife area of Lake Galena and several other locations in the area.

No boat engines More than 10 horsepower are allowed on Lake Galena to promote a quiet environment and reduce coastal erosion. All public access to the lake is reserved for the owners and their guests or guests of the resort.
