About Lake Windsor
Lake Windsor is one of the largest lakes in the state of Arkansas and the second largest lake in Arkansas. Bella Vista Lakes are a private lake and only members and their guests are allowed to enjoy it.
This lake is the largest recreational lake in the municipality and is mainly fished with recreational restrictions. The lake itself is one of the most popular recreational lakes in Arkansas and the second largest in the state.
Water skiing and rubber dinghies are also welcome and those who want to fly over the surface of the lake can feel free. Lake Windsor is the second largest lake and covers 220 hectares with a maximum depth of 80 feet. Set against the backdrop of the Ozark Mountains, it offers its visitors spectacular views and is a lake of unlimited power. The largest island is Loch Lomond, with an area of 1.5 million hectares and the largest of its kind in the world.
The deciduous forests in the community of Bella Vista provide shelter for deer, turkeys and other native wildlife and provide privacy for homeowners.
Lake Windsor is a village lake where fishing tournaments are held, and boat moorings are located in the village of Bella Vista, just a few miles south of the main entrance to the lake. The fish in this lake include perch, catfish, trout, salmon, Valais and other fish species. Completed in 1975, Lake Windsor offers members access to a variety of recreational activities including fishing, boating, camping, kayaking, canoeing and kayaking rentals, and recreational fishing.
Other lake amenities include a covered gazebo, toilets and a jetty, and the village of Bella Vista offers its members and guests numerous recreational opportunities.
The village is located on the west side of the lake, just a few hundred meters from the shore of Lake Windsor.
Visitors and residents of Lake Windsor are allowed to use all the facilities of the village. The properties in Lake Windsor are primarily single-family homes, but there are also attractive townhouses, especially near the golf course. For outdoor enthusiasts there are many paved paths in and around the lake community. The Tanyard Creek Nature Trail leads from Windsor Lake Dam to a scenic hike into the Arkansas countryside, and the small rapids created by the waterfalls are a wonderful recreational area for children and adults.
